Last year we had the incredible opportunity to participate in Dubai Watch Week, the annual watch fair founded by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons. This year marks the third annual Dubai Watch Week, and HODINKEE is back! We will be participating in various events throughout the week, and you’ll be able to enjoy them live from Dubai, here on the dot com, and across social media. Dubai Watch Week is a really special event that brings together modern brands, independent watchmakers, auction houses, collectors, and journalists to discuss the current state of the watch industry. We are thrilled to be a part of it again.
Dubai Watch Week 2017 runs November 16-20, and along with friends from Christie’s, Watchonista, and Analog/Shift, Franois-Paul Journe, Kurt Klaus, and numerous other esteemed industry folk, our very own Ben Clymer, Eneuri Acosta, and Cara Barrett will be in attendance. First up we have Ben moderating two panels Designing Time, A Horologically Inclined Beauty and Icons and Classics, A History both on November 17. Following that, Cara will be speaking on two panels Grand Complications, An All Boys Club? and Hammer Time, The Importance of Auction Houses on November 18 and 20, respectively. Eneuri will be speaking on Static Diversification, The Contribution of the Watch Industry, also on November 20. There are 16 panels in total, so there really is something for everyone.
Rounding out the week, we will be hosting an event focusing on digital media from 10:00-11:00 AM on November 20 at the Creative Hub. If you are in town for Dubai Watch Week, be sure to sign up for panels of interest and any of the Creative Hub events that you would like to attend. Not in Dubai? That’s ok! We will be posting throughout the week both on HODINKEE.com and on all our social media channels, so be sure to check your Instagram stories for live updates.
