Whether you were watching the Super Bowl for Lady Gaga’s performance, the commercials, and the nachos (like myself), or you were genuinely interested in the game, by now you have probably recovered from this past Sunday’s
eating festivities. To say the event was full of surprises would be the understatement of the year. The most talked about commercial came from a relatively unknown lumber company, Lady Gaga kept it PG-13, and the Patriots came back from a 28-3 deficit in the third quarter to eventually win the game 34-28. Last night, Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman was on the Jimmy Fallon Show talking about his epic fourth quarter catch with his trusty Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon “Black Black” on his wrist.
This stealthy Omega Speedy is part of the expanded Dark Side of the Moon collection, released in March of 2015. The entire watch, case, dial, hands, indexes, sub dials, the even that date window are all matte black. The hands and indexes are actually black SuperLuminova though, so you still get the light-up effect at night. The watch itself measures 44.25mm across and it is powered by the Omega co-axial caliber 9300. All in all, it’s a pretty cool watch that not many people can pull off. Edelman is certainly one of the people who can.
The retail price for this bad boy is $12,000. Be sure to also check out our in-depth review of the original Dark Side of the Moon.
