Cut

Diamonds are unique in shape and size. Princess Cut and Brilliant Round Shape are popular choices. Other common shapes include Cushion, Emerald, Ovals, & Old European Cuts.

The overall cut grade given to a diamond is based on how the proportions of the diamond affect the face up appearance of your diamond i.e. what determines the Fire, Scintillation, & Brilliance.

Color

The diamond color assessment of most gem-quality diamonds is based on the absence of color and is determined by comparing against a set of master stones.

A chemically pure and structurally perfect diamond is void of color, like a drop of pure water, which results in having a higher value. Colors range from D-Z, but can also be yellow or a tinge of pink, blue, green, or orange.

Clarity

Natural diamonds are the result of carbon exposed to tremendous heat and pressure deep in the earth. This process can result in a variety of internal characteristics called inclusions and external characteristics called blemishes.

Evaluating diamond clarity involves determining the number, size, relief, nature, and position of these characteristics, as well as how these affect the overall appearance of the stone. While no diamond is perfectly pure, the closer it comes, the higher its value.

Carat Weight

The carat weight of your diamond is measured using state-of the art scales to ensure precision and accuracy. If you have a certificate or diamond appraisal, it will be listed. Typical Carat weights vary from 0.4 to 10.00.

Owner Jeff i grew up here in Winston Salem NC and collected coins and antiques with my grandfather. My grandparents raised me until about age twelve could be part of my addiction to old toys, coins, yard-sales, auctions, and anything cool and vintage. My grandfather told me once you can sheer a sheep many times you can only skin them once.

Tania

Tania is the Boss she handles the day to day in the coin shop and keeps up with market pricing. Tania moved here to Winston Salem about twelve years ago and still hates the winter to this date. Tania is from Puerto Rico and speaks fluent Spanish and has an accounting degree that comes in handy in a coin shop. Do not mess with Tania or you will have to deal with Steve.

Steve

Steve is security he is not a fan of strangers. He sleeps most of the day and most people never see him. But if you are loud or aggressive he will make his presents known. Steve likes to bark at the wind and leaves all night and cuddle with Tania while she watches TV. Steve also enjoys harassing Flokie the other dog by taking his toys from him. Steve is a expert in dateless buffalo nickles.

Flokie

Flokie is the Greater at the coin shop but please don’t pet him or encourage his bad behavior. Flokie enjoys laying in the middle of the floor in our small coin shop i believe he is trying to trip us so we get hurt and stay home with him to throw his ball. Flokie loves to chase the ball and bark at Tania when she ignores his efforts to play with him while she is doing something.
